Basic Function and Responsibility:

The Business Intelligence Manager is responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of the Foundations’ business intelligence architecture, leads the optimization of a recently implemented Microsoft Dynamics CRM system, and partners with business units to improve business processes and deliver actionable insights to departments across the organization.

The Business Intelligence Manager reports to the Vice President of Information Systems and supervises the programming team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drives the day-to-day execution and delivery of business intelligence solutions that enable and accelerate data-drive decision making
  • Manages projects to support and enhance the functionality of CRM Advance
  • Oversees, coaches, and mentors the programming team; manages workloads, sets priorities, and evaluates their performance regularly
  • Leads sprint planning, retrospectives, and refinement of the backlog
  • Elicits requirements from end users to solve business problems and identify the desired outcome
  • Works collaboratively with team members to design solutions that meet business objectives and fulfill user requirements
  • Leads data analysis projects and oversees the development and enhancement of actionable dashboards, interactive reports, analyses, and KPIs
  • Develops and maintains quality assurance test plans, use cases, and testing reports
  • Identifies inefficient business processes and leads efforts to improve them
  • Collaborates with the data security team to ensure policies and procedures are properly applied, maintained, and followed by staff and external partners
  • Integrates change management strategies into the plan and approach for IT projects
  • Consults with cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement technical solutions that facilitate business processes and anticipate future needs

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Working knowledge of T-SQL programming
  • Ability to simultaneously manage large projects and manage rapid delivery of requests
  • Supervisory experience
  • Self-starter and quick learner who is easily able to learn new products, systems, applications, and technologies
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time in complex environment
  • Solid understanding of business and accounting principles
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook


· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems or related field

· Three years of progressive experience in database reporting and developing business intelligence solutions

· Experience managing IT projects through the complete software development lifecycle
